Jimmi Johnston-White

Jimmi has been involved with and around dogs most of his life. His first paid job as a school boy was dog walking so he has come full circle via care work and teaching. He has shown, judged and bred dogs through his various jobs for over 30 years. He writes weekly in Our Dogs newspaper and has done for nearly 20 years. 9 years ago he gave up his career and set up a doggy daycare and boarding business in London and now runs a home/pet sitting business from Yorkshire. He has wide experience of many breeds and was previously vice chair of another breed rescue charity. Jimmi's main area of expertise these days is helping with behavioural issues and retraining. Jimmi also does dog grooming. He shares his home with a pack of Tibetan Terriers, Miniature Wire Haired Dachshunds, Border Terriers, a Saluki, an Italian Greyhound and a cat.  Jimmi has experience of living with dogs with Cushings Disease, Diabetes, Epilepsy, CECS and behavioural issues.

Wendy Mooney

Wendy has owned and loved Border Terriers for over 30 years.   Having been “dog-mad” all her life, when she finally got to own her very own dogs, she and her husband, chose Border Terriers and they have not been without two or more in the home ever since!

Over the years she has got involved with showing her Borders which in turn led to more and more involvement in all aspects of the breed including breeding, grooming, and judging.  She has been a committee member of one of the Border Terrier breed clubs for 17 years and has organised and run shows for them for many years.  She has also been an officer on a general breed society and worked as a trustee and officer for a UK registered animal welfare charity.  She enjoys all aspects of dog ownership and canine matters and has volunteered and served as a committee member/official for other breeds’ clubs.

She has owned other breeds, including Norwegian Elkhounds and Petit Bassets Griffon Vendeen.

Dr Jane Worlock

Jane has been a Border Terrier owner, and member of the Southern Border Terrier Club, for more than 25 years. She is active in supporting various fund raising projects to assist Borders in need. Her relevant scientific and research background underpins her special interest in breed health matters. Jane has an elderly diabetic Border, who (as she always says) is a great privilege to look after.

Jan Gale

Jan has been involved in Border Terriers for a number of years, firstly as a breeder and then involved in the rehoming of Borders in need. Her main work within the breed has been to highlight CECS (Canine Epileptoid Cramping Syndrome) and help people whose dogs suffer with the condition.  This is something that she has devoted her time and energy to tirelessly. She has also contributed to a veterinary paper on CECS.
