Covid tries to stop the Ultra- runner
Having trained hard for months, Henry Mooney was determined not to let his sponsors or Border Terrier LifeLine down. Henry has been involved with BTLL from the outset and provides most of our tech support. When we found out he was attempting his first ultra-marathon (that is any distance further than a “normal” marathon of 42.2 kilometres, or 26.2 miles) we asked if he would do it as a fund-raiser for us.
Although Henry was struck by Covid at the “eleventh hour” he was determined to attempt it nonetheless and showing true determination just like Border terriers do in everything they do.
Fortunately for everyone (including St John’s Ambulance) he smashed the race it. It was a very painful experience for his feet and legs but a huge THANK YOU for raising £1060 towards research into CECS.
The photos say it all really…..
